Pharah's Father (Updated 2/19)

2/19 Update:
  • Added confirmation that Reinhardt is not Pharah's father

Developer's Comments

On the official forums on August 13, 2016, Michael Chu elaborated on his answer to the question "Who is Pharah's father?" that was originally asked at SDCC 2016.

Great question! Someone also asked this during our Ana panel at Comic-Con, and I tried to address it (though, apologies in advance, I didn't give the definitive answer).
In-universe, the identity of Pharah's father is not considered to be a secret (Pharah knows who her father is). However, we haven't revealed it in the game or any of the related comics or animated shorts (or anywhere else outside of game).
When a story or opportunity where it feels appropriate or natural for it to be addressed, you'll get the answer. Until then, feel free to speculate away!

In a PCGamer stream on February 19, 2017, Michael Chu gave confirmation that Reinhardt is not Pharah's father.

Geoff Goodman (reading a question for Michael): Is Reinhardt Pharah's dad?
Michael Chu: Ooh, this is a popular question, and I don't think that I've ever answered it before. So I could take the easy way out and come up with some sort of vague answer here, but I am going to go ahead and say no, Reinhardt is not Pharah's dad.
GG: Yeah. Done, stamped.
MC: Yeah though, I mean, that just leaves a whole lot of other people who it could be.
GG: That's true. Well, then one off the list though. We can [record?] one of them.
MC: There are some hints, though.

Sombra's Conspiracy

In the Sombra Origin Story video, the conspiracy web at the end has an unidentified portrait in a node connected to Fareeha and Ana Amari. This is believed to be a hint at the yet revealed father of Pharah.

Reflections

In the two-page spread of the comic short Reflections, Pharah is seen dining with an unidentified man. In response to fan speculation, Michael Chu clarified on the forums that this scene was not a date, giving credence to the theory that the man is indeed her father.
